St Philip's stained glass window.

Thank you for visiting the St. Philip Webpage.

Our goal at the church of St. Philip is to create an open, welcoming, respectful place where you might grow in your ability to follow God’s Spirit in your life. We are a diverse community of people who desire to follow Jesus and embrace many understandings of what it might look like to follow Jesus. We believe that you will find us to be a spacious place in which you are encouraged to explore your faith and to trust in God and grow in the faith we experience through Jesus Christ.

May you know God’s peace and guidance on your journey of faith - Christopher Page (Rector)

January 29, 2012 Sunday 9:00am Listening Sunday - January 29, 2012
Over the past few months there have been a few changes to our 9:00 Sunday morning worship service. We want to know how you feel about these changes and about our worship in general.
During the sermon time in the 9:00 service on January 29, we will take fifteen minutes to allow you to discuss some questions related to our practice of worship. You will break into small groups with a representative of Parish Council in each group to record your comments. The clergy will be absent while you discuss the following questions.

In our 9:00 service how do I feel about:
1. our music ministry?
2. the reading of Scripture?
3. the preaching?
4. our use of silence?
5. our conduct of the Prayers of the People?
6. the use of chant?
7. the rotation of preaching & presiding?
8. Children's involvement
If you are unable to attend on the 29th and would like to participate in
this discussion, please give your comments on paper or by email.
