St. Philip’s has a growing number of young families. Looking out across the pews on a Sunday morning, any number of infants, toddlers and children of all ages can be seen nestled quietly (and not so quietly!) with Mum or Dad. Children are welcome at St. Philip’s, -- upstairs in the Service, downstairs in Sunday School or the Nursery, wherever they and their parents feel most comfortable.

Nursery

The Nursery is open every Sunday morning, and during the 9:00 AM Service a volunteer is available there to care for our little ones while parents join in worship. Of course Mums and Dads are welcome to sit for a time with their child in the Nursery too. We have a roster of adults and teens who have signed up to provide Nursery care on a rotating basis. There is always room for more helpers. Contact Shannon Carmichael if you are interested.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for all children, three years old and up during the 9:00 AM Service. Families gather together in the Church for the start of the worship service with praise singing, and a children's talk. The young then go downstairs and join friends for their Sunday school classes. Everyone rejoins their family for Holy Communion and the Blessing. Something like 50 children are enrolled in Sunday School at St. Philip's - with attendance usually around 30-35 each week.

Events for Children and Families

Through out the past few years we’ve enjoyed family camps, games and video nights, hikes, bowling, swimming, and excursions to all kinds of great places. If there is anything you would like to see us offer, or if you would like to help organize an event,
